GO MY WAY!!

2 min read
Sup guise. Does anyone still remember me? dA, do you still want me? :<

Yeah, it's been a while, hasn't it? Sadly, school and stress and a school year full of "Creative/emotional rut" feelings sorta got me down on writing and stuff I usually submit here. It's sad. I miss writing a lot! However, when you're bogged down with papers and assignments and "to-do," writing is more closely associated with chores than with fun. I have written some shat over the past few years, mostly nonfic stuff. I blog on Destructoid under the name "GeekyJuuu," so you can totes check that out!

Creatively speaking, I'm still acting. Sort of. I am so blessed and so lucky to have received the opportunity to play Sailor Moon in the Salad Time Soldiers group, a group of lovely ladies [and you too, Tuxedo Mask!] who specialize in performing Sailor Moon musicals [better known as Sera Myu] as well as original skits based on Myu, or even just various dances from Myu in a "jukebox musical" styled performance. This is one of my dream roles, and I can gladly say "Play Sailor Moon" can be crossed off my bucket list. I am honestly happier than you could EVER imagine to get this chance, so check them out too. :> Maybe you'll see photos/videos when I make my debut! :P

But that's about it. My life has been hella busy, but I lurk, quietly. And I do want to write again, creatively....M-maybe. ^^; So far, most of that is channeled into school, or to cosplay, so sometimes it's hard to still have energy left.

But I'm trying! Gotta keep 200% energetic!! Haha. What things am I doing now?
-Expanding my knowledge of visual novels
-Watching IDOLMster in my free time, game plays and the show
-FENCING!!
-And lots and lots of school work.

But I still love you, dA. And I'm going to post this so I am more inspired to do...THINGS! idk, some sort of things.

Au revoir, arrivederci, and goodnight. <3

Indeed, everyone will bloom, unless they keep a CLOSE eye on Survival Horror Are Go in the coming weeks! Right now, we're doing an EPIC FATAL FRAME PLAYTHROUGH! We intended to do the entire series in like, one weekend, but due to circumstances out of our control, such as the games being way longer than we remembered and getting our ASSES handed to us by those damn Fatal Frame 1 priest-guys, we only finished a lil' over half the series. Oops. So we're doing the other half, games 3 and 4, soon. Also, 4 will be played on HARD MODE for the alternate ending, because we -need- it.

Check the site for more info and updates: survivalhorrornightarego.webs.…

ALSO we now have an official SHNAG YouTube to fart around with. All of our videos will go up there, as well as be linked to on the site, so favorite them, embed them on your myspazzes and failbooks, have fun fun fun! It's a lil' empty now, but we're working on it. A direct link to the 'Tube, as it shall from now on be called, is here:
www.youtube.com/user/SurvivalH…

Soooo, thank you for bearing with me and sticking with me. As a reward for all your hard work, I leave you with a gift. Go, go, go and watch these poor girls nearly pee themselves over a game. This is what SHNAG is all about!!

au revoir, arrivederci, and bye~nyappy!

Hi everyone, it's Dantil, opening a journal with some Gaga, who all drama kids like myself just adore. I hope her words got your attention, because they accurately sum up part of my uber-exciting fantabulous weekend! <3 What did I do that was so wonderfully wonderful, you ask?

Yours truly went to Colossalcon, a big ol' Japan-themed nerdy convention held in the Kalahari Waterpark in Sandusky. I don't mean to brag, but while all of y'all were doing whatever it is you do on weekends, I was splashing about in a HUGE indoor waterpark, playing soopar-fantastic import games from Japan, lending a helping hand at Fatal Frame II, buying nerdymerch, raving my skinny white ass off, and, most importantly, meeting and talking to a whole bunch of fellow Geeks Like Me. I almost felt normal.

It was wonderful. <3

I've got some wonderful pictures, both deviant-art appropriate and a just-for-fun picdump journal, coming to you soon, after I figure out why the heck my computer is running so terribly. So for now, I'll paint you a picture with my words, kay? <3 Warning warning, a text wall may follow!! ;D But you can skip around to the exciting parts.

FRIDAY: Head up to the Kalahari and skip 6th hour. Eat delicious crepes for breakfast at Bob Evans. Pull into Kalahari and freak out because I see no nerds crowding the front of the hotel [very different from youmacon, you see.] Drive near convention center [we got a whole convention center!!] and see some cosplayers. "Oh, there they are!" Finally locate room at the very end of the 5th floor hallway and now it's time to go, go GO!!! Dantil emerges from the retardedly-small bathroom [you could barely pee in there!!] as FAITH, from MIRROR'S EDGE. Get hardcore tattoo drawn on by Abbie, my soopar-con-buddy, who was dressed as Kagome, and head out into the con! Getting badges went well, and I wrote "Juuu <3" on mine, for I am Juuu to many folks. The rest of this day is sort of a blur, so I'll give you highlights. We saw some super cosplays, including a kid dressed up as a fully functional gameboy. you could play tetris on him, srs. Dealers room KICKED ASS. I got some new and shouldn't-be-released-yet manga, and some out of print shat too, as well as the first Junjou Romantica season one box all for waywayway under list price. There were some costume stands, tunnnnns of figures and t-shirts, plush, backpacks, keychains, phone charms, messenger bags, steampunk, gothic and lolita clothes, industrial and raver stuff, holy SHIT you name it they've got it! And a j-rock/visual k stand playing loads of sweet music. I got an An Cafe CD <333333 and a magazine with them in it. [FULL PAGE OF YUUKI OW OWW~] We doink around artist alley, but a lot of stands are closing up by this time of evening. On a whim, I find that there's a seperate game room just for music games, and enter.

Then promply shit myself.

The most gorgeous, wonderful, beautiful POP'N MUSIC ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER and Pop'n 14 are sitting in front of me. I nervously wait my turn before being allowed to play a song on those beautiful buttons. I don't know if I can go back to using a minicon ever again. I regain myself and notice there's an AWESOME beatmania arcade controller too, as well as Taiko no Tatsujin [taiko drum master, if you prefer] Wii set up, two rock band stations, and not just DDR, but STEPMANIA with nice metal pads running a bunch of wonderful songs. About to pass out with glee, I flee to the main game room and poke around. There's Left 4 Dead 2 [one of my new favorites, I fear], typical shooter stuff like Halo and Gears of War, a bit of Smash Bros Brawl, of course [as well as Melee], and more fighters. Street Fighter 4, Tekken 6, Soulcalibur IV, the gang's all here. Some classic Streetfighter, and maybe even other stuff I didn't recognize was present too. I was sorta bummed I didn't get to try Blazblue. D: And Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was there at one point. There were limited TVs, so games rotated. There was even an N64 for some Mario Kart and Goldeneye lovin' <333 super cool, right? Some things that looked like emulators on xboxes or something were there too-all I know is people were playing old school tetris, kirby, and mario. <3 but, what caught my eye was a little 360 running a shooter tucked away in the back corner. Me and Abbie nervously approached it, and one of the players finally noticed us staring. "What is this?" we asked.

IT WAS DEATHSMILES TWO. TWO. NOT ONE, BUT THE VERY NEW, VERY JAPAN EXCLUSIVE SEUQAL. I beat this game about 3 times over the course of the con as I learned and taught others how to play. I love this game. I have the first one on reserve at gamestop, and I couldn't be more excited! Limited Edition!!! I turn around after hearing this info and see a computer, of all things, in the other corner. I nervously creep up to it. Is this-...? OH BUT IT IS. TOUHOU! The most brutal of all bullet hell shooters out there, or so they say. I tried to play, got destroyed, tried again, got obliterated, and now I fear I'm addicted. I'm saving non-deathsmiles money for a copy of it for myself. :] That compy ran the whole series over the course of that weekend, I fear. <3 It was magic.

After poking around more and learning the magical girl panel was cancelled, before I knew it, it was time for the Friday night rave. Which got delayed an hour. Myself and Abbie made line-friends and sang Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber with them [a kid we sat with was obsessed with biebz.] and I rapped about the rave being delayed. Life was good. When we finally got in, all I can say is wowowowwoow. Best con rave right them thar. wonderful visuals and DJs, an AIR CONDITIONED ROOM, and a great crowd were there. This kid made friends with us and gave me glowsticks, which I was sorely lacking. <3 There were some wonderful lightshows as well, and to the talented people doing them-you guys kind of blow my mind a lot. <3 We chilled in the dance-circle for hours, and even went in ourselves. But alas, my feet were killing me and I felt like I was dying, so I left a wee bit early to sleep. Which brings us to...

SATURDAY: Saturday began with me running about downstairs, getting a breakfast buffet treat with abbie and buying more shat from the dealer's room in my PJs. We then decided to sample the waterpark-we got in for free anyways. holyshat. wow. fun. too fun. so much fun. After splashing in the wavepool, me and abbie rode a slide resembling a giant toilet. No, seriously. You go down with 4 people in a raft, go down an enclosed slide, go into a bowl-shaped thing, swirl around in it, then get sucked through a pipe and to the end. It's so fun though, srsly. That thing hauls ASS. There's also a body-slide where you go through a slide, then into a bowl and swirl around yourself before falling through the hole and into a pool. It's sort of like those things you can race coins down at malls...[or another giant toilet]. I went in on my back and did a barrel-roll in the water so I wouldn't drown. ^^; Abbie and I also nearly shit ourselves going on this EXTREMELY FAST water-rollercoaster. No srsly. That thing hauled. I was screaming the whole way, but I totally wanted to go again. Instead, we settled for the lazy river, which was relaxing and home to cute lifeguards. What could be better? After eating pizza slices bigger than my face and racing across those rope-things for kiddies and standing under a little waterfall, we decided it was con time again. We are NERDS, not MERMAIDS, and we're going to go talk with MORE NERDS!!! Abbie was the mighty Pikachu-girl, while I was Konata form Lucky Star. This day passed much like the first-bum around artist alley and the dealer's room, spend more money, make friends, play some games, and then eat before doing something wonderful-SATURDAY NIGHT RAVE. After preparing for a NOT delayed rave, we entered the room and saw magic once again. So many shiny glowsticks and pretty people~ I got my first lightshow from one of the most amazing people EVAR. Straight up, this guy had gloves with lights on the fingers, and would just put on a show two inches from your eyes. Trippy, but he was good-never hit you, even when I pitched forward cos I got bumped into. He was a super-sweetheart too, and let us get pictures with him and film him. We even got security and the DJs to let us up on stage to take picutres and video of the whole room. After a while, Abbie rested in back, and I wanted to roam, so I found myself in the gameroom again, playing wonderful pop'n and taiko. <33 and teaching it too. I also got my ass handed to me in Soulcalibur IV, but hey, what else is new? XD It was still fun. In addition, I met the coolest people of the con-THESE KIDS PLAYING FATAL FRAME II. OF ALL THINGS. <3 LOVE. After a few hours, knowing full well I had to check out early the next morning, I headed out. I looked in the rave-hall to see if Abbie was leaving too, but I didn't find her. Instead, I found one of the DJs/VJs, who kept me company for a while. It was superfun, and we sat for a bit discussing con drama, Touhou, and life stories. Magnificant. But I knew I should head back, so after a while, I did.

And that's when shit got scary.

At 3:30 in the morning we got a knock on our hotel room door telling us a tornado warning was in effect and to evacuate to the basement. Fearing for our lives on the 5th floor, we did. Little did I know, there had been a fire alarm downstairs, leading to "EVERYONE OUT! A FIRE! No wait, everyone IN! A TORNADO!!" chaos. Thankfully, the warning passed after a while, and I got to sleep. I was about to puke though, I was terrified. XD I've had nightmares about getting blown away by a tornado since I was a kid, rendering me too scared to even sing some wizard of oz tunes like a respectable drama kid [AUNTIE EM, AUNTIE EM....;D] But, we made it okay...But then, there was...

SUNDAY: We wake, and I get a call from my neighbors telling us-hoshit-the neighborhood basements are flooding. In case you didn't know, ALL MY TECH STUFF IS DOWNSTAIRS, plus tons of BOOKS, MAGAZINES, PLUSH, ECT. So, after eating a hasty breakfast, saying our final goodbyes to congoers, our last bits of money, artist alley, DJ friends, game room, and visiting a nerdy-flea-market, we're out. And so ends my wonderful con experience. Thankfully, I traded a lot of facebooks, so all of my Game Room pals and other friends are accounted for, and I'm hoping we'll keep in touch. I met some super people that weekend. To all of you atttendees-You guys are beautiful. No, really. Every time I go to a con, I see thousands of people who immediately disprove the "nerds are fat and ugly and mean and antisocial" stereotype we've gotten over the years. I met some of the most wonderful, kind-hearted, interesting, sociable, funny, intelligent, and beautiful people I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to this weekend. You all are wonderful. <3 [Just don't be an irritating superfan or a mean douche! ;D You'll ruin my nice words!!] I can't wait to have nerdy fun again. I hope I can attend next year! X3

Oh, and for all of you wondering, my basement is cleaned out and safe and sound. The water was from a storm drain, but not raw sewage, thank god. I lost some plush and furniture, a bookshelf collapsed and I lost a lot of magazines, but no full books, and it looks like all electornics but some of my speakers are safe and sound. I'mma hook up all my consoles soon to make sure they're okay. On the plus side, we got new furniture, so it's not all bad, right? :] Plus, we got off easy compared to others.

SHAT I GOT AT CON:
LIFE vol 4
NANA vol 20
We Were There vol 1
Butterflies, Flowers vol 3

Vocaloid KAITO plush. He's adorable and way cheaper than he should have been. ;DDDD

I'll get pictures of them soon. :D

I hope you enjoyed reading my wall of text, and you think kindly of nerds, maybe? Pics are coming, so keep an eye out!

Au revoir, arrivederci, and goodnight. <3

Holidays always=creativity for me. That, and the fact that I've seen a lot of Kris Lemche's work these days. That's inspiring, too. ;] Anyways, a project list of what I'll be working on over the holidays. Interested? READ DAT SHAT.

-New Story.
Narrator: Vivi [from "36-Unexpected"] It's gonna be a long one....
Basic themes: Metamorphosis, change, overcoming one's weakness, unexpected things happening to you.

-Work on "Trainwreck"
Narrator: Dantil. It's another long one I just couldn't get off the ground. Once I hit the middle, things will be good, though. :] It's a sort of darker, gloomier story inspired by the Boys Night Out album "Trainwreck." This was sort of what Vampire Heart was supposed to be until it veered off path. XD

-Finish a Poem.
Prompt, "Prince". Inspired by the Hans Christian Anderson telling of "The Little Mermaid" and the vocaloid song "The Little Mermaid" by Megurine Luka.

-Work on ideas for Fatal Frame movie scripts/photoshoot. I've got them...

does it make you interested? Comment me, give me ideas'n shat. Tell me whatchoo wanna see the most.
